Rigi Kulm "The Queen of the Alps"

So, we're once again catching up with our blog. These pictures are from our first hike in the Alps on Mount Rigi, "The Queen of the Alps," in May. It's located near Lucerne, about an hour and half from Zurich. We took the SBB train to the base of the mountain and then we caught a cog train to the top. We proceeded to hike down and around, and back up again. The weather was great and so was the scenery. The trails took us through Alpine meadows and provided amazing views of two lakes, including Lake Lucerne. Todd tried to yodel, feeling inspired by the surroundings. I tried my best Christopher Walken with the bovine, shouting "I got a fever, and the only cure is more cowbell!" We ended our trip by taking another cog train down the mountain to a small town and then boarded a boat that took us across Lake Lucerne to the city of Lucerne.
